I am a 30 something Dad of a wonderful 8 year old son who lives in Round Rock, Texas. I grew up in Houston went to collage outside of San Antonino and got a masters degree from the Theological Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, PA. I have been an outdoor enthusiast my whole life doing a little fishing, shooting, hunting hiking and camping over the years. Recently I have developed a passion for bushcraft and all things outdoors putting more focus on this part of my life as a balance to work and duties as a father. I have been married to a wonderful woman since 1999 and you will see some of her handy work show up in the blog at a later time. Though I have been and outdoorsy type most of my life I am still fairly new to the more primitive bushcraft style of camping. I am working my way through the free classes that are offered at bushcraftusa.com in the bushclass section and I have purchased and am working on the first phase of the pathfinder system from the Pathfinder school run by Dave Canterbury. This is supplemented with independent research and reading from various sources and much dirt time and experimentation. Over the next few months and hopefully next several years you will be able to watch my progress as well as Daniel’s as we blog about it and make and post videos on youtube. We hope you enjoy our reviews and videos and please feel free to comment and offer suggestions if there is something you would like to see us review or try out.
